Risk and Compliance Assistant

The Assistant Risk and Compliance Assistant will be based at Head Office, Harare and will ensure the integrity and efficiency of the company’s operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with the Cerba Lancet Africa company policies, regulations, and procedures. 
• Follow the Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.  
• Drive the Cerba Lancet Africa values. 
• Maintain compliance with statutory laws and regulations, safeguarding assets and improving overall business processes. 
• Liaise with departmental heads and staff to ensure that business operations are carried out in line with business policies and procedures. 
• Perform adhoc and routine audits on cash, stock, assets and prepare reports of findings to the Risk and Compliance Officer on a regular basis. 
• Assist the Risk and Compliance Officer to carryout site bi-annual spot checks on cash, stock, and assets with a view to deter fraud/error. 
• Obtain, analyse, and evaluate accounting documentation reports and data daily. 
• Assist in the management of company fuel for both staff and pool cars. 
• Performs risk analysis on ad hoc tasks as requested by superior from time to time. 
• Assist in the Identification of system loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings. 
• Assist in monitoring the accounts billing processes to ensure leakages and bad debts written off are minimised. 
• Assist in preparing and presenting reports that reflect compliance/audit results and document process. 
• Report any actual or suspected fraudulent activities in the department to help prevent fraud.  
• Any other duties as maybe assigned by the management. 

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Risk and Audit, finance, or related field 
• Minimum of 1-2years’experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, or a related field preferably within the healthcare or medical laboratory field. 
• Progress towards an advanced degree or professional certification in risk and or compliance or related areas an added advantage. 
• Professional registration with an Audit body. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages.
